I love Apple, but...

Sad fact of the day: the processor Apple uses in the NEW Mac Mini's and some NEW MacBook/Pro's is the same processor that is in my 2008 MacBook Pro. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz. So tell me, Apple, why should I spend the money on a new MacBook?

I await your response, Mr. Jobs.

EDIT: I emailed Steve. I can only hope for an answer.

  1. While I am not a fan of Apple, I work in a research lab with the only computers being Mac Mini's and they are wonderful to work with. The hardware works perfectly with OS X, and they can handle a great deal for there compact size. If you can spend the cash I would get a Mac over any comparable Windows PC.

  2. Sarge. I thinks its because the power in the macbook pro with the processor its been using is where it needs to be. Ive known sound engineers running protools and other sound-guy stuff just fine. itll save money not upgrading the processor this model.

  6. Not a big fan of Mac either. It just seems so... snobby to me. Especially because, no offense to you, everyone that I know who owns one has NO CLUE how to use them.

  8. Everyone hates apple... While they may not be ideal for gamers, their products are great for people who just want basic computer functions. I'd like to own a mac some day. Also, looking forward to the response from Jobs, those are always amusingly pathetic.

  9. I'm not a fan of Macs, they always seem overpriced for what they actually are. I'd rather have a PC anyday.

  10. Macs are only good for thirteen year olds and people who like using their computers as media makers.
